That was an interesting discussion concerning commissioned artwork and artwork for print. I'm more inclined to spend more money on published sequential artwork over con sketches or commissioned drawings, but that's just me. To each his own I guess.
To be completely honest, I was a little disappointed when I saw the solicit for the new Winterworld stories, Zaffino's artwork in the original mini-series is some of my favorite stuff that he ever did for the American market-Seven Block and Punisher:Kingdom Gone are still my faves. I did check out the new book and thought that Butch Guice did an amazing job with the artwork.

(RE: Wow, thanks for commenting, Jerry! I can't say I was disappointed, per se, but it was a shock. All that Zaffino stuff is its own thing to me. -S)
