I'm glad you guys posted this message, I didn't want to spam the David Grove discussion page :)
I started listening to SiDEBAR in 2009 when I was directed to your page from a link promising a Marko Djurdjevic interview. My mind was fried when I heard the interview, not just because of Marko's candidness, but because I found a podcast that actually covered illustration and comics and games and movies and music and all the other stuff I'm interested in, and it was all free. So I listened to ALL of the episodes :)
Above everything, though, your podcasts are educational. I'm a university student, so finding this treasure trove of information and inspiration really lit a fire under my butt to actually become an artist and stop talking about becoming an artist.
I can imagine after 5 years it was probably a tough decision to start selling episodes, but this only makes them more valuable. Maybe instead of throwing some dollars into my gas tank to go to a party I can buy a Pod Pack and stay at home and draw. Who knows ya'll might be saving brain cells.

(RE: Sidebarfan - First off, a BIG thanks for checking out our show. And it does seem like one of the 'gateway episodes' for a lot of listeners was the Marko episode. And it's still one of our best in my opinion, thanks to the many jewels dropped by Marko particularly.
And you're right, the decision to start selling episodes was tough and with a plethora of contributing factors. Yet, change must come to everything and this was that season for us. We just want to be able to continue bringing the show to you guys at the same quality that you expect. And don't forget we still have over 150 episodes free and available in our 'Barchives'.
So definitely stay tuned for more Pod Packs and other exclusives. And again, thanks so much for listening!
